Extracellular and intracellular (current- and voltage-clamp) electrical recordings in monkeys, rats, flies and Xenopus oocytes. 2. Fly genetics, especially transposon-mediated mutagenesis and identification of mutant genes. 3. Generation of transgenic flies and C. elegans. 4. Molecular biology, have subcloned over 10 different recombinant DNAs of 5 genes into 6 different plasmids. 5. Biochemistry, immunoprecepitation and western blot, general lipase activity examination. 6. Histology, immunostaining on rat and Drosophila preparations. Research interests: 1. The mechanisms of presynaptic vesicle cycling, the modulation/regulation of synaptic receptor function, synaptic changes in Alzheimer’s disease. 2. Neurogenesis in Drosophila. 3.
